Now, I have to admit that I am a bit of a bodyshopaholic (see what I did there?). But, can you really blame me? Of course not! In fact, if you can build up the strength to pull yourself away from The Body Shop, you are one up on me in terms of self-discipline. The Boy Shop has like a magnet effect on me, I just can't stay away. Anyway, over the past few months, I have managed to collect a whole range of different products ranging from their makeup range to their skincare range. And, yes, I have bought even more products from them recently, but this was at a discounted rate, so that makes it okay, right? Maybe not, but it does in my mind.
Seeing as they bought out the new Vitamin C range recently, I thought I would try it. I only bought one product from that range (the Skin Reviver) as I have similar products from other ranges (I had to tell myself I don't need it until I use the other products). Vitamin C is good for revitalizing the skin to bring back the glow - a bit like the 'post-holiday glow' we all love. I definitely had to try this out on my dull and lifeless looking under-eyes. When I first used this product, I fell in love with the scent. It is like a mandarin/orangey tangy scent; just absolutely gorgeous and reminds me of summer! It can also be used as a primer, which I can imagine gives amazing skin benefits. The actual formula itself is quite silky and smooth and it leaves a quite smooth, slightly oily residue which gradually soaks in to the skin. I can't wait to see the results.
The next range I explored was the Vitamin E range. I have always been a big fan of this range because my mum often uses it and of course I always used to steal them to use for myself. In fact, that is probably where my obsession came from. The Vitamin E range is brilliant for cleansing and protecting the skin. It is an antioxidant which helps to keep the moisture in your skin. I bought the Nourishing Night Cream and the Overnight Serum-In-Oil to try out and I am already loving them. I was slightly concerned about the serum as I already have slightly oily skin, but I bought it anyway. Luckily, it soaks in by the time I wake up, so it's not an issue. The Nourishing Night Cream is so soft and refreshing, I love it! Definitely one up compared to my Nivea one I had before,
One of my favourite The Body Shop ranges is the Tea Tree Range. I have the majority of the products from that range now, and I do not regret it one bit. They smell divine! This range has helped my skin so so so much and I would recommend it to anyone with spot prone skin. Tea tree has antiseptic qualities and so it is perfect for cleansing the skin, especially after a long day. I already know that the Skin Clearing Lotion and Body Wash are going to work a treat.
Finally, the last product I just had to buy was the Aloe Soothing Day Cream. Ah, it is just beautiful. I haven't tried this range before but I desperately wanted to try a day cream (I have been shamefully using my night cream for the past few weeks). The Aloe isn't very pungent, but it still has a subtle scent which is quite refreshing. I love the formula of this one as it is really soft and soothing. Definitely satisfied me after a long search for a decently priced day cream.
I will definitely be writing up a review about these products over the up-coming months, so keep an eye out. I can't wait to see what wonders they do for my skin.
