Alone on Valentines Day?

So, as we all know, Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and for those of you who have partners, you may be very excited about whats to come. Romantic meals lit by candle light, cuddling up next to your partner at the cinema, where ever it takes you, I hope you enjoy it! However, on the other hand, I am sure that there is a rather large crowd of singles out there, like me, who have no one to indulge with this Valentine's Day. But, that doesn't mean we shouldn't take complete advantage of this day and indulge ourselves.

For that reason, instead of sitting at home alone, moping over how you have no one and how you'll be 'forever alone' (which for your information isn't true at all), read through this blog and decide on something that you will do!

1. Message one of your 'single pringle' friends, surely they would love to get out and hang with you instead of sitting alone at home? Go to the cinema, go bowling, go out for a meal...it doesn't have to be romantic! If you don't have any money, just stay home and bake, watch films and maybe have a few drinks (be safe, no underage drinking, tut!). Take advantage of the fact that Valentine's Day is a Saturday this year!

2. This is for those of you whose friends are all tangled up in love on Valentine's Day! While you're left at home and they're all going out for romantic nights out, why not pamper yourself? Run a nice warm bath, light candles, use a bath bomb (make sure you have bubbles too) and relax! Who says you need a boyfriend or girlfriend to have fun?

3. Whether you've managed to allure a friendly figure or not, why not order pizza and have a movie marathon? Bring out those movies that you used to love as a kid and sit and watch them all night long, let the nostalgic memories flood in!

4. If you're a keen cook, why not offer to make your parents a meal? Set out the table, light it with candles and make it all romantic for when they come home from work. I am sure that they'd appreciate your cooking, plus it would save them a substantial amount of money! Kindness spreads, so why not start an epidemic?

5. Finally, if there is a group of you that are missing partners this Valentine's Day, why not do a secret valentine? Buy gifts for your friends and tell them how important they are to you! This may seem cheesy but it's one of the best ways to cheer yourself up on Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day doesn't have to be boring and tedious every year! Find something you can enjoy, your year will come!
