Once Upon a Daisy Dream

Marc Jacobs...the producer of many beautiful products and fragrances that are absolutely to die for! There are so many different perfumes on the market, produced by MJ, and it is not a surprise that they are so hugely popular!

Daisy Dream is no exception to this! This light, airy, floral scent is just divine and ideal for ever day use, whether you're going out to a crazy out-going party, or just popping out to the shops!
"The fragrance captivates with top notes of blackberry, fresh grapefruit and succulent pear. The heart imparts a rich, feminine jasmine, notes of lychee and blue wisteria. Along with a dreamy drydown of white woods, musks and coconut water"
Along with the actual scent of this fragrance, the bottle also deserves a mention! It is one of the most elegant and stunningly well designed bottles that I have ever come across! It lures you in as soon as you see the golden tinted flowered top, out of the corner of your eye!

I received this perfume in a set along with a body lotion and a body wash as part of a Christmas present. It smells so gorgeous that I almost don't want to use it. It's by far the best perfume I have ever had, and I believe that this will be a very hard one to beat!

London Haul 2015

Finally, I am here with the long awaited London haul that you have all been waiting a week for! I am so sorry to have kept you waiting for so long, its just that by the time school is finished and I am home, it's too dark and grungy to take any decent pictures....so thank God for weekends! I have managed to take some lovely pictures today and so lets start...this could take a little while!

For those of you who have started reading my blog from this post, I was 16 on the 14th of January and I went to London for a weekend (last weekend) to celebrate! I had been saving for 6 months and managed to purchase many lovely things!

Lush
So this was actually the first shop that I found. I wasn't planning on going to Lush because I still have so many products left from Christmas, but I saw a very bizarre thing and it caught my eye. There was a man dressed in a sharks outfit and so I decided to pop in to see what it was all about. At first, I really couldn't take the man seriously but then he told me what it was about. He was dressed up to raise money by selling charity pots of hand cream for a charity which was about animals who get caught in order to put them in sea-life sanctuaries and zoos. The charity worked to prevent those animals getting hurt before they arrive at the sanctuaries. Many animals are hurt or killed in the process, This touched my heart because I hate the thought of any animal being hurt, let alone killed. I am also a vegetarian. I tried the hand cream and decided to buy a small sized pot which was priced at £6.95. It is honestly the softest hand cream I have ever bought.

The Body Shop
The Body Shop was my bargain shop! I went in originally just to get an Instablur (primer) and ended up coming out with about 5 different things! I picked up the Honey brozer while I was looking and asked the lady which shade would be best for me. She tried a few out on me and then she said that I could get the bronzer and then get the instablur half price. I grabbed them both and headed to the till. At the till she asked when my birthday was and I told her that it had just been and so she gave me a £5 free gift that they give people on their birthday. She gave me The Body Shop card for free (they're usually £5) and then she gave me a warming mask as a gift for getting a card. Then, she got me even more! I ended up walking out of the shop with £42 worth of products, feeling very smug that I had only spent £18,95!!

Accessorize & Simply Be
Accessorize was actually another brilliant shop! I bought 3 pairs of socks for £8 (one pair for a fiend). I then saw that they had a 70% off sale on jewelry, so I had to have a look! I saw a camera necklace (£1,80) which I saw and just had to buy. I also bought a few little bits for a friend! In Simply Be I found a lovely heart choker (£1.75), a ring for my friend and a pink flower necklace (£6).

MAC
MAC is the ultimate reason that I wanted to go away to London shopping! I gave never, ever, ever, had a MAC product and god I was missing out! I took my 4 pan palette that my friend got me for my birthday and filled it up with 3 more eye shadows (£10 each). I got Swiss Chocolate, Girlie, and All That Glitters. I also then went and bought a few MAC lipsticks that I had heard of from others; Rebel and Creme Cup (£15.50 each). I really wanted the MAC Velvet Teddy lipstick and I tried 3 MAC shops in London but it was sold out everywhere:(

Miss Selfridge
I love Miss Selfridge! If I had to chose my top 2 favourite clothes shops they would have to be Miss Selfridge and Urban Outfitters! Their clothes just fit my figure so well. In Miss Selfridge I purchased two pairs of ripped knee jeans (£38 each), and a cardigan (£35). I managed to get £5 off and so I saved myself a little bit of money:)

KIKO
Before going to London, I had watched many beauty hauls and KIKO came up in a lot of them and so I decided it was time to take a trip to KIKO to see what it was all about. Out of all of the shops I had been in, KIKO was definitely the busiest and littlest. I ventured in and had a look around and picked up a few products. I bought 3 eyeshadows for a friend, an eyeshadow for me (£2.90) and two lipliners (£4.20 each) to go with my MAC lipsticks.

Office
While in London, I was on a hunt for some Dc Martens. I tried some on in the Dc Martens store but didn't like the style (or the price for that matter). I asked mum to head over to Office which was just across the road, to see if they had any Docs in there and to check how much they were before I purchased some in the actual Dc Martens store. She came back and told me that she had seen a few pairs for about £55 each and so we all headed to Office. In Office I found two pairs of Doc boots and I loved them. I tried them on and then went to the till to pay for them. I thought they were going to come to £120 but they ended up being £96 for both pairs!!!! I was soo happy! In the official store they were more then £100 PER PAIR!!! I got such a good bargain and I haven't stopped wearing them since!

Urban Outfitters
I love Urban Outfitters soooo much and when I saw it in London I just had to go and look! I went in and they had a sale on which is always a good sign! I looked at the cardigans and I found a few that I liked. I tried them on and decided on one. My Mum also bought one similar to mine. It is so lovely and warm, I just love it! It was only £30 as well which is quite cheap for UO!

Debenhams
Debenhams was the last shop that I went in. I went in purely to find Urban Decay and buy a Naked palette and that's exactly what I did! It was so pretty and clean in there. I wasn't sure whether to get the Naked 2 or 3, but in the end I got the Naked 2.

So that is everything that I bought with my money!

London Wishlist

So, as you may or may not know, I am off to London this weekend. It's to celebrate my 16th birthday and although it was actually on the Wednesday that's just past, I thought it would be a lot better to celebrate on a weekend. I have just finished packing and I have a little bit of time to do a quick blog post to update you all and tell you what I will be looking for/buying in London this weekend!

I don't know whether any of you share this habit, but I am terrible for list writing. I write lists about the tiniest of things, from what I am going to take away, to which shops I want to go in and where they are. I am absolutely terrible! Anyway, there's quite a few little things that I have got in my mind to look at and possibly purchase.

First of all, I would really like to try some higher range makeup like MAC because I only have drugstore makeup at the moment, It's very expensive to buy from these shops but I figured that because I have been very well behaved and saved for a long time, I deserve to splash out! I have been looking at MAC paint pots and lipsticks. Also, my friend did buy me a 4 space MAC eye shadow palette for my birthday, which I nearly cried about! She also got me one eye shadow in 'Cranberry' which was the main one I was going to buy, so now I have to get three more (yay)!!

I am also planning on getting a pair of Dc. Martens because I LOVE them so so much!! I haven't been able to afford a pair as yet and I thought it would be a lot nicer to buy some in London, I am hoping to get either some boots or closed shoes, in burgundy or a purple colour,

I am also planning on getting the Naked 2 palette because I have never had a Naked palette (I know, I don't know why). I prefer the Naked 2 palette to the Naked 3 because I like my eye shadow to be darker and really stand out. I am a colour girl!

Finally, I am also just going to shop around for a few random things that I would like. I will probably buy some clothes, stationary, nail varnish, more makeup, socks, makeup brushes, a capo for my guitar, a new mascara, Body Shop things and a lot more! I will be seeing Wicked tomorrow night at the theatre and I honestly can't wait!!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend and I will probably be posting a London haul when I am back. I better get back to packing a few more little things and then go to sleep ready for an early start! I will be back on Sunday night!

New Beginnings: Nice To Meet You!

(This post is part of a little blogger series I'm taking part in called the "secret blogger project 2015" run by teen bloggers Emily , Rebekka and Charlotte. About 30 of us will be writing twice a week on selected little lifestyle topics and you can also go onto the twitter and Instagram hash tag "#secretbp2015" to have a little chat and view everyone's posts. If you would like to join or know more (we'd love to have you!)  Instagram dm @theperks0fbeingemily or if you don't have Instagram, send a quick email to  rebekkarosebeautyxo@gmail.com!)

This 1st post within the series is called "Nice To Meet You!" and is where you can get to know me and my future ambitions, etc. I figured that the best way for me to do that is to write a little about myself, maybe about the most important years of my life:)

So, I guess the most interesting place to start would be at the age of 8. This is when I started gymnastics, and this was followed by dance. I was always a very energetic and sporty young child and I enjoyed sports that meant you had to be flexible to do well. I did a type of dance called Freestyle Disco, it was very competitive and there was competitions every Sunday, in places all over the country. My dad used to take me to the competitions which would last all day. I did gym for about 2 years and dance from about the age of 9 to 13/14. I stopped because I grew out of them, but I still miss them sometimes.

From about the age of 14-15 I didn't really do much. I am a person that likes their own company and so I didn't really go out much either. However, at the age of 15 (past April) I started my DofE award. I have completed my expedition, volunteering, and skill section. For my volunteering, I attended a special needs social club where I carried out activities with the adolescents there. I enjoyed is a lot because my ultimate ambition is to work in the medicine world with children. For my skill section I did a photography course because I am very interested in photography and I find that it helps me to relax.

I suppose that's kind of all of the interesting bits up to now, I'll follow this with a few random facts.

1) I have been doing a paper round since I was 13 (nearly 3 years)
2) I am a shopaholic, I love shopping!
3) It's my birthday in 5 days
4) I love doing my nails, it helps me to relax.
5) I enjoy blogging because it's something that isn't homework but still helps me with my English work in a way? I have had two blogs, I started my first about a year and 3 quarters ago.
6) I have 3 siblings; a brother and two sisters.
7) I used to have a basset hound dog (search it and check out the ears)
8) I have two rabbits
9) I am in year 11 at school and for a levels I am hoping to take maths, biology, chemistry and psychology
10) I am a good money saver. I've saved £600 to go to London for my birthday! I've been saving since September!

I hope this helped you to learn a little more about me, thank you for reading!!

10 Things I Love About You!

Today's post may seem a little self obsessed with the fact that it is ultimately about loving yourself, but I believe that the trick to being happy is finding things to be happy about! This post is about finding things to love about you and well, who you are as a person! It's also about finding what you love about the path you have taken in life and also being proud of what you have achieved!

So, I know that for many people, including myself, this is a very challenging thing to be able to do, but as I said before, it is vital that you find something you love! For example, it may be part of your appearance; your hair, your eyes, your legs, your nails, your lips, etc. Or it could be part of your personality, way of life, religion, life goals. It could be anything!

It strikes me, that when I type into Google 'what percentage of teenagers are unhappy with who they are' that a lot of information appears about teens being unhappy about their body. I mean this doesn't surprise me, there's so many influences now, not just the media, but many other things. These are things that make us feel like we have to behave, dress, look, feel, be, a certain way. I do believe that the media plays a big role in how we all feel about ourselves, but I wouldn't put the entirety of our problems onto the media.

We all need to learn how to complement ourselves. This doesn't necessarily mean looking in a mirror and complementing every thing about you, it's the small things that matter! Even if it's just once a month that you sit and think about what you are happy about within yourself. This doesn't involve any friends, family members, or anyone but yourself! It is just so important to take 5 minutes once in a while just to evaluate what makes you happy about yourself!

I hope that this post inspires you to find things that you love about who you are! To add some more inspiration, I am going to add 10 things that I love about who I am...

1. When I enjoy something, I will keep at it no matter what anyone says - for example blogging, many people at school say things but I have learnt to ignore it.
2, I like the shape of my eyes, I enjoy wearing eye shadow and I feel that my eyes are a lovely shape for it!
3. I like the fact that I still have some stomach muscle left from when I used to dance, it gives me confidence.
4. I am very appreciative of the fact that I have everything that I could ever ask for, a secure family, food, clothes, a home.
5. I wear what I want and I express how I am through that! I am not a crowd follower and this makes me feel unique.
6. I am proud of the fact that I am determined to achieve my goals and future aspirations and I am prepared to study hard to get there!
7. I really like my nails, they grow fast and I love being able to paint them!
8. I am proud that I am a person who accepts so many types of people! I also like that I challenge myself to make new friends!
9. I like my fringe hair, it doesn't always go perfectly but when it does, I really like it!
10. The fact that I try to support everyone as much as I can makes me feel like a nice person who cares. When people are upset, I put their feelings before mine and it makes me feel amazing when I manage to make them smile again!

Now I challenge you to make a list of 10 things that you love about you! Don't give up, even if it takes a few days! Then still the list somewhere you'll see it a lot, to remind you why you're special and unique!

Do you ever get an overwhelming fear of being alone?

Is it normal? To get such a deep feeling of loneliness and such a big fear of being forever alone? Or is it just me?

It's that time when you find yourself sat alone, trying to work out who you friends are and who you are as a person. It's that moment when you realise that you don't even know what you want for yourself and what's best for you.

You sit there wondering why you've still not met your Prince Charming or your Princess, asking yourself whether it is just you. You automatically tell yourself yes, yes it is your fault. And if you already have a companion, you sit wondering whether they really love you, or whether they'll actually stay with you. And once again, you go against yourself and tell yourself that no, they don't really love you.

You then think about your family and question whether they actually love you, whether you turned out how they wanted you to. You tell yourself no, no you're not good enough for them.

The truth is that everyone feels lonely at times. The truth is that you are loved, everyone is loved. You are good enough too! And if you find people leaving you, well that's their loss, you'll just find someone else along the journey called life.

We all question whether we are worthy of any friends, or partners, family, etc...

We ask ourselves whether we should be different, change who we are to get where we want to be.
So many set New Years resolutions to be a 'new person'; we've all heard the phrase 'new year new me' haven't we? Yes I thought.

The truth is that we shouldn't have to change ourselves to feel as if we can live happily. Everything happens for a reason, we all find friends at different points in our lives, we all find partners at different points in our lives. We all develop differently, find out things at diverse points in our lives. We are all people. All people trying to find our happiness. Nothing happens at set times. It's not like we have a set time to find a best friend, or a set time to learn how to read, of how to speak. It happens when we let it happen.

Our happiness depends on several things:
1. How much we BELIEVE in ourselves.
2. The people we surround ourselves with.
3. The way we think; positivity is always a choice we should take!
And probably a lot more...

My New Years resolution is to never prevent or suspend my happiness. I hope to learn to accept that happiness isn't permanent and no one is always happy all the time. I am also hoping to accept that just because someone has something I'd love to have, I probably also have something that someone would love and I should enjoy that.
I am also going to make many more plans for this next year and encourage myself to meet new people and experience new things. The world is a beautiful place and we all still have a lot to explore.

What I Got For Christmas

This post is very popular among bloggers and youtubers recently and I know that many of you may also be interested in what I received for Christmas this year. This blog is not to brag about what I got and I hope tht you don't see it that way. It's purely to show those of you who want to know what I got. Also, I am very appreciative of what I got this year, so I hope you can see that!
